ups and downs

Kamusta kayo we have had some major ups and downs and some cool news.

So for the ups, we had an amazing zone conference on Wednesday. It mostly focused on finding investigators, because we need to start doing that again. That was cool, had some good lessons there. My personal favorite was the last message of President Bliesner about Cpt Moroni, the Sons of Mosiah and Stripling warriors. Then he showed us some of the attributes that they had and the ones that we needed to have. Also he discussed what made them different and what made them the same, well he did that first. It was awesome. Then he told us that in July we would be getting a new mission president and that we would get info on Friday. Then Friday finally rolled around and we got a text saying not only that we were getting a new president but that the mission is getting divided in June. So I guess I will find out if I am going to be re-assigned or stay here in Naga mission. It is kinda exciting because that means that the church is growing down here. But sad because I will probably not see so many people in the mission again. Oh and the other good thing is that we stopped for a place where we can actually get real milk. It was sooo good, but we think it made my companion sick, I got mine mango flavored. SO good.

Then for the downs, my companion had like a stomach flu or something, because he was really sick with LBM and felt like he was going to puke. So we were down for like 3 days after the zone conference.

Then Sunday we had two investigators at church. I was stoked. Except when I had to teach the Gospel principles class. It was fine but it can be difficult when everyone in the class is super shy. I also cannot wait for an opportunity to understand  week of church. I have finally realized that they all speak Bicol during meetings. So I don't know anything of what they are saying. Not very fun. But the amount of Bicol depends on the Area, some is less others is more.

So yeah week was kinda good kinda bad. But the mission was not expected to be sun shines and lollipops now was it?

Well that seems to be it for this week. Hope all your weeks are much better,

  1. Mango Milk? Unbelievable! The cultural experiences he is having on his mission amaze me.
