Busy Week

No joke it was busy.

It started on Monday with a FHE, it was a pretty good one. Although I love finding out that I am giving the lesson like 5 minutes before it starts. That is like my favorite thing in the whole world. Not really. But I pulled one out of no where and hope I changed at least one life.

Tuesday we were in a far area, most of our areas are really far. But while we were there we met two new investigators who live at a members house. Like it couldn't be any more golden.
Wednesday we found two more investigators, one was a part member the other was a referral from the part member. Again it is like a golden part member referral family. I really like them because they read the assignments that we give to them, very few do, but when they do they really mean business. We also went to the house of a less active, well a wall and half a roof. It was pretty sad to see. But he just kinda rolled with the punches and sleeps at families houses. Which here in the Philippines is like the whole neighborhood.

Thursday we were planning on having a service project helping clean up what could have been a deconstruction to prepare for a construction. But it was raining like all that day, so we checked any way, and he wasn't ready yet for us. So we just rescheduled. But that shot a whole in our whole schedule. But we moved on and had some good lessons with some investigators and less actives.

Friday we had a zone meeting, it was pretty good. But we did get Liahonas. OH man it was sooooooooooooooo cool seeing Davids article. I love the look David was going for back in the day and Grandpa was looking pretty good too. I hardly recognized them. But I digress. Well there really wasn't anything else to exciting. Except we did give some blessings to some people. Who were able to go to church on Sunday. It was pretty fun.
Saturday we went on splits with some of the future missionaries. My companion was very good. In addition to helping me teach a little bit, he addressed a concern of a Less active perfectly. Like I don't think there was any other way of answering it.

Sunday was alright. I some how got swindled to not teaching the Gospel principles class but the Youth Class. I know that there is a new curriculum so I didn't really want to do something so different. So we just quickly went through the plan of salvation. Then after the chart map thing, I made a block around the earth and spirit world and said this is all the other churches believe in, some in the pre earth life but mostly it is just these two small parts. Hopefully someone was grateful for the Plan of Salvation.

But this brings me to another topic. Some reason we had a Inglessia ni Cristo magazine in our apartment  I was...words don't describe the disgust I felt at them. But my favorite was an article that was SOOO blasphemous. It essentially said that the John 1 was a lie that Christ isn't God and that he was just a thought in the mind of God. I don't understand how that you take one small scripture and ruin all of the scriptures for your self by a lame interpretation of the original word of Word. Then just to disregard what Christ says right before he dies about being glorified with his glory BEFORE he came to earth. I just had to shake my head and laugh at them when I read all the scriptures about his divinity. Also when my companion decided to tape the face of the founder of INC to a cereal box and throw knives at him. He got bored of that because it took too much time, so he just stabbed the picture. Good times.

Well that was our week. Mostly long because we walked a lot. I was so tired this whole week, it was really good.

  1. Cracking up about throwing knives at the cereal box. Max is such a roll with the punches guy. It's one of his gifts.
