New Year New Direction

(The new direction for the Philippines area starts this week so the mission direction is officially changed but we got the start on it )

Happy New year all, 

New Years isn't like a big big deal, but it is an excuse for people to get drunk and karaoke, which was apparently invented here in the Philippines. But they do light off a bunch of fireworks. At midnight it sounded like a war was going on outside. Like the days during Christmas when we had curfews we watched church movies till like 10, we spent New Years re-watching most of them. 

 I am sending a picture of a craft idea that you might like.

Well, this week was extremely difficult. I was brought down by a stomach flu. I first felt sick on Tuesday then got really sick on Wednesday; felt better Thursday but could only do a half day because I got sick again-down completely Friday and Saturday. But got better on Sunday so I am fine now. My companion was the one telling me to take a break; I was dragging him towards the direction home wasn't. I was completely bedridden for like 4 and half days. Luckily I was able to study when I wasn't knocked out cold. So I had very little work this week, but, when I was able to work I worked with all I was able to. The advantage to being sick is I lost like 10 pounds so I am like 170 right now. 

But sorry for the lameness of this letter but when you don't do anything, you don't get anything in return.
