Well Kamusta kayo (Hi you)
YES! I was much better on Monday, I just needed to get some stuff out of me. This week was one that was a little different. On Monday I ate at a restaurant called Bigg's diner, it is the Pinoy answer to a 50's diner. They play 50's and 60's songs throughout the whole restaurant, so I had some fun there and ate some good food.
The work is going good out here. We seem to just be finding people that are willing to listen, not always commit, but listen. We do a lot of work with less active and part member families and are always busy. On Wednesday I went on splits with an Elder Taylor, one of our zone leaders. We worked in my area so I was guide. Luckily I did inherit some of Dad's genes so we didn't get too lost. We only got stuck on a Palayain in the middle of a rain shower. (Mom’s note: I don’t know what that means...maybe JD knows...) But unfortunately the lady we visited is moving to Manila but she promised she would contact the missionaries and continue the lessons. We also met a less active who was willing to walk to church on Sunday and make a 5 kilometer round trip. On Sunday I went with Elder Johnson (DL) to Ocompo and worked with him out there. His ward has a very exciting Gospel Doctrine teacher there. While explaining the keystone of our religion part, a sister asked why the "another doctrine of Jesus Christ" was so small and continued to ask even after the teacher said we will discus later... so I guess all wards have that one person. I thought it was very enjoyable. So because I wasn't in my ward I didn't get to see who was or wasn't there.
But this week we are preparing for a baptism of one of the most awesome people in the world. Brother Olpina, who has worked for a long time battling word of wisdom problems, is finally getting baptized on Saturday. YAYYYYY!! So we have that to look forward to for like all week though.
The football news is great keep sending it in. Well rooting for the niners no doubt and GB but they are in the same conference so either of those teams. I think they are NFC but I would like to see the Texans or the Saints to make it from either of the conferences but a Packers Saints replay would be pretty awesome. Or a two in a row by the Packers would be awesome too.
I don't know what the temperature is like here, but it isn't too hot. But it is really wet. It rains every day here and we have had some brown outs but nothing longer than maybe 45 minutes.
If videos aren't too big to send I would love to see some of Chad's matches.
Thank you all for the prayers they were much felt and much appreciated.
Mahal na Mahal kayo (love you)
